…am i the only one who keeps saying i’m going to start meal planning but then do nothing about it?  no?!  oh, da iawn!  because i say it and still nothing.  zilch.  no fancy planner on the kitchen wall.  some people even plan it for the MONTH!  a whole month!  some even colour co-ordinate it {yes, people ACTUALLY do this…I KNOW!}.  maybe it IS more exciting when doing it than it actually sounds?  no, i don’t think so either.

anyway, yesterday at work i was thinking of what to make for tea {with men it’s sex, with women it’s food…or shoes} and turned to my trusty old pal {no, not you sue}, bbc good food.  i love it.  i searched for ‘quick pudding’ and it gave me this as a result.  SOLD!

ok, ok, i know mine looks NOTHING like the one on the bbc good food page, but who cares because it tasted bloody good!  so good, i had seconds.  sorry alf, but you snooze, you lose, son!

so go on click here and make it.  it’s so bloody easy to make too.  worth mentioning that i didn’t use choclate muffins because we didn’t have any in {oh, THAT’S why you meal plan…!}, so i used choc chip cupcakes {chiyrs geth!} and skipped on the sultanas {oh, THAT’S why…} but the choc chips more than made up for them!  finished off with a piece of flake on top.

and a bit of sarcasm from the delightful husband during the sport relief great british bake off ”i wonder if they’ve just crumpled up a cake and put something on top of it?…”.

he loved it really.

  1. Quick and easy and yummy looking, my kinda recipe! You had me at the flake sitting in the centre (that is a flake right, not a giant cinnamon stick??!). I’m so with you on the meal planning, it’s on my list of resolutions for 2014 too. Ah, the best laid plans…

  2. Sticky toffee pudding is my favourite, but I’ve never tried making it. This sounds so easy. Must give it a go. Hopping by from Tasty Tuesdays. Now following you
