Spotty socks are a must when running. #Fact.

Aren’t these just gorgeous?!

Sunday afternoon and there are three of us in bed.  Get your filthy minds out of the gutter, it was Robb, Alf and I.  Oh, and the dog.  As we lay there giggling and winding each other up, a quick glance at the time told me I had been putting today’s run off for 3 hours by now.  Probably didn’t help that I’d not long warmed up following the morning’s footie match.  Sometimes, you’ve just got to get off your backside and just do it.

So, with Robb beside me on his bike, we headed out.  5 miles I had in mind.  But I was feeling that good on the 4th mile, I decided I was going for 6.  Which turned into seven!  7 miles.  I’ve not done that distance in a while now.  And to think I’d been putting it off.

It probably helped that my new trainers made my feel like I was bouncing up and down the lane!  I especially love the colour of them, I feel like I can be seen for miles.  I may have squealed {in a terrifying way} when I was running through one field because of the bogs!  But, it was a good way to really test them out too.  It also made me REALLY pick my knees up high.  Never a bad thing.

I can’t write this post without mentioning turning around in said field to see Robb with his bike on top of him a bit higher up…haa!  He was fine!  Ego a little bruised, that’s all.

All in all, 15 miles and 3 runs in, they are easily my favourite trainers yet.  I’m not really sure why, seeing as it’s become a great hobby of mine, but I’ve never paid A LOT for a decent pair of running shoes before now.  But it has taught me that paying that little bit extra really does pay off.  I found the ‘wet foot to paper’ test to see exactly what shape your footprint is {see support shoe tab}, handy too…even if I was having to explain why I was walking out of the loo at work with one shoe on and the other off!

Anyway, I’ll let this last photo really tell you what I think of these trainers…

…colour co-ordinated too…be still my beating heart! ;)

{Serious face: I was kindly sent these trainers for the purpose of this review.  All thoughts and words are my own…and those sexy spotty socks!}
