Want to know what was a lovely surprise yesterday and something that turned my afternoon around? Without sounding like an old fart…an afternoon nap. I only went upstairs to keep the washing. A good half hour later, I woke up to the sound of a bird singing {honestly!} and found myself all wrapped up in my duvet. The miserable weather had even turned to a late sunny afternoon. Those two sleepy minutes while I woke up were heavenly. And then Alf climbed in and said “That’s where you are!”. So, that was that ;)
Within minutes we’d hatched a plan to get out, go for a kick about and act out Alf’s goal {again and again…} that he scored in his footie match that morning.
Alfie | Muddy chops, that footie kit, muddy knees and that hat – your happy place.
Robb | Sliding along your knees, arms in the air – your happy place.
Dog tired at times and in need of afternoon naps…but you two – my happy place.

Your house is gorgeous. Our sunday was the same. It was raining so we stayed in but managed to get to the park in the afternoon. My children are my happy place to. Lovely post.
Thanks Gemma! It’s the best happy place, isn’t it?!
Well done on catching that little nap, looks like you needed the rest before the match began! That is one happy boy with his goal, my footfall daft boys are the same. thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids.
Do you think i can get away with it tomorrow?! Here’s hoping!
An afternoon nap sounds blissful! What a lovely way to spend a Sunday :)

I love that you managed to get a nap. I used to have a sneaky nap sometimes when miss T slept but now she’s not napping, nor am I. #countrykids
Putting a film on always does the trick!
Sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon to me! And congrats to Alfie on scoring a goal, I know what a treat it is when that happens xx
Thanks, none tomorrow. Shame. Kind of…
