I’ve been through a, what I would call “bach o’ blip”, with my running recently. Through no one’s fault, life just kind of got in the way. Despite trying to go with a running group when I can that has been set up in the village by Dwys, I’ve just not been feeling it. And judging by my Strava feed…it’s a poor, poor show. Last night’s run was my third this month…and we’re on the 18th of May!
So, after a great afternoon out with Paul and the bois, out I went. Whenever I go running, that first mile is always the worst. But by the fourth and fifth mile, I was loving it…even pushing myself up those hills that I’m lucky enough to call home.
After a good run is when I’m at my best, I’m sure of it. All those feel good whatjamicallits running {no pun intended!} through my body. Therefore, it was home to cook a roast dinner and to get those bloody bedrooms tidy once and for all!
I’ll leave you with these I found last night {which are also very fitting to myself and the running}:
“Running is like coffee, I’m much nicer after I’ve had one“
“Never, ever, ever judge a run by the first mile.”
You’re one if the people that inspired me to run in the first place. Someone just needs to tell my calf that though!!
Aah, really? XXX
And…Doh! Stoopid calf!! ;)
Yes definitely and my sis in law Ems… Calf just doesn’t want to play though but I’m determindo!! X
I agree completely. I’ve only been running for less than a year but I’m addicted. I’m currently 2 weeks into a 4+ week break from running and biking post surgery and today I hit my wall. I can’t wait to have it back in my life.
