Good Friday : Waking up to blue skies, there was only one thing for it, I screamed “Get up, Bois Bach! It’s a beach day…but first, pancakes!”. An hour later, with ball games, towels and swimming shorts {“Good luck with them bois, the sea will be f r e e z i n g !!”} in the car boot and stomachs full to the brim with nutella pancakes, we were off. Not forgetting Owen, my nephew, who was giving me the best puppy dog eyes as we were leaving. A quick dash to grab his stuff and he was in the car with us.
He knows how to work me, that one.
Adele’s “25” on loud {much to Robb’s disappointment…}, they sang their little hearts out most of the way.
It doesn’t get much better than that, does it?!
The boogers on that!! No wonder we came home with a little bit more sand than usual, it all probably came home stuck to those…uchafi, Alf. Owen, on the right, sat like this for a while…a million miles away in his own thoughts while people walked passed him…
I managed to tear the bois away from their games and the sand dunes to grab some lunch and go for a wander around town. But, with it being a Bank Holiday AND a gorgeous sunny one at that, the queue for the Fish and Chip shop was ridiculously long all the way down the street, so there was only one thing for it, ICE CREAM!
“Are we going to that knockers place?!”…after recovering from my fit of giggles, I had to remind Robb what it was really called {Knickerbockers Ice Cream Parlour} and explain what knockers are also known as. I think the Ice cream came in handy to cool his cheeks down! ha!
Anyway, Jammie Dodger Ice Cream?! YES PLEASE!
You know someone’s enjoying himself when every now and again, during one of the many footie matches that day, he kept running over to kiss me on my forehead, while I lay there watching them.
If there is one thing that will stay with me forever about Alf, is just how cuddly and affectionate he is.
But his boogers…yeah, he can keep them!
Bois Bach, de chi werth y byd yn grwn.
Beautiful Photos!
Ahh love this post. Knockers place made me laugh! x
Thank you lovely! Still makes me giggle too xx
Looks like a fantastic day, blue skies too. I had to laugh at the boogers….and the knockers :)
Hi!!!! It was lovely. Less boogers and knockers next time, hopefully! ;)
