Life is…

But before all of that, I faffed about with these books and a candle and other stuff with crap results that in the end, I gave up, dumped them on this chair and went off to see what Alf was shouting about in the other room.  Only, to come back to this and think “That’s it!”.

Moral of the story?  Less faffing and more chocolate milkshake making…sort of.

Oh, and “props”, If I can call it that?, but the chair or “prop” from the In Laws’ garage that is waiting to be returned…well, it’s suddenly started to look very appealing…

But anyway, Life!  Life is missing school jumpers after the first week back…blanket style scarves {pictured, I know!  I love it too!} that are just screaming to be worn every single day from now until March…two books on the go; Shantaram and Not That Kind Of Girl…and Grandpa’s Great Adventure if we’re counting books we are reading with the kids?…because that’s started again, which we all got really excited about and didn’t realise just how much we had missed it!…the bois tend to read out the “talking parts” and had me in giggles the other evening…Great British Bake Off, just don’t mention Val’s departure to Alf, he was gutted, bless him…#valtowin…well, she won’t now because she’s been kicked off, but still Team Val if Alf asks…I mean, come on, when she cried at the end and said how she cooks with love?! {sob!}…Robb was very helpful at the end and continued to laugh and point at us both getting a bit emosh…you know, in that helpful way that teenagers are… spelling books being left at school accidentally…or so he tells me…fish gratine for tea making the fussiest of eaters clean his plate!…“Mam, it must be really bad to be an adult and just be your size”, Robb to me last night, just because he’s as tall, if not taller than me by now… late library books {oops}…we’re all getting back into the swing of things with karate, Yellow belt {I think that’s next?!}, we’re coming for you!

What have you been up to?  Has your child come home with an extra jumper?  Got any tips for dealing with cocky teenagers?! ;)

  1. I read Shantaram 5 or 6 years ago and it’s a book that has really stayed with me. Could get in to Not that kind of girl at all though. Looks like you’ve had a lovely week x

  2. That scarf is amazing, I can see why you like it. I have got Not that kind of girl on my list for my holiday, at the moment is collecting dust under my bed but I am determined to start reading it soon! x
