{#deanwyebloggers} Tudor Farmhouse

My third and final post from what was simply, a fantastic weekend down at the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.  {Part 1 and Part 2}.

As I approached Reception, I was pretty sure they were going to say “Sorry, no.  There is no Cerys Lowe staying here for the weekend“.  And when they said “Oh!  You’re one of the bloggers?  You’re staying in Room so and so…“, I did the biggest fist pump ever in my head…and maybe had a little jump around on my bed once in my room…but not before I’d taken some pics!  You know, because…#blogger ;)

“Tudor Farmhouse are a former working farm lovingly converted into a stylish boutique hotel with home-spun touches of laid-back luxury.  The 20 characterful rooms, cottages and suites will make you want to stay forever”

YES!  YESYESYES!  I DO WANT TO STAY FOREVER?!  CAN I?!  You won’t know I’m there, I promise!  Because I’ll be hiding away in here with a large glass of red…

There was a moment on the Saturday evening when the bath {and glass} were filled to the top, there was no 9 year old trying to get into the bathroom and I thought to myself “Right this second, I am winning at life!”…

There is such a cozy feel to Tudor Farmhouse and it was the perfect place to head to after a full day of activities.

At reception there were blankets, wellies and brollies you could help yourself to.

…as well as luxurious toiletries to spoil myself with; heavenly smelling shampoo, bubble bath, body lotion etc…

And my very own Nespresso coffee machine which came in very handy in the mornings as the bed was just a dream!

Breakfast was soo good.  Fresh fruit with yoghurt, topped with fruit coulis and nuts followed by a fry up one morning and the next morning, a poached haddock and the best poached egg ever on top…{Sorry Mam!}.  Such a treat!

If ever you are in the area and want somewhere to stay, I can’t recommend The Tudor Farmhouse enough!  Not only is it a luxury, modern and cozy getaway but everyone there were so welcoming, friendly and wanting to help out…as well as give me their own take on what activities we had planned for the day!

  1. It looks so English and cosy! Beautiful rooms as well. I think the gumboots really make it for me (I may be over romanticising, but I love seeing that kind of thing). Looks like a beautiful place to stay! #CityTripping
