Pumpkin Festival at Apley Farm, Shifnal

Feeling like I’ve finally made it in the Blogging World now that I’ve got a pumpkin patch post {try saying that after a strong Merlot…} under my belt!  ;)

We headed over to meet the rest of the Lowe’s at Apley Farm on Saturday to celebrate Billy turning 3.  We arrived to a tractor ride waiting to take us down to the pumpkin patch to pick our very own one to carve back at the cafe area.  Whilst on the tractor ride, there was a young girl dressed as a pumpkin {what else?!} ready to read a story for all the kids.  Really sweet and the little one’s were loving it…but Robb’s face was a p i c t u r e !! hahahaaa.

With a family ticket costing just over £20, we had a really lovely morning there with everyone; the kids running around trying to find “the one”…carrying them back up to the carving area…working their magic with the stencils as well as all the usual tools…coffee and tea {and maybe a bacon buttie} stop at the cafe for us adults…while the kids had more fun running around the farm next door.  Robb stayed with us until he heard there was a tarantula being passed around…I stayed put the whole time because I had a Hot Chocolate and a cute babi to squish.

Soo cute!

Yes…I am that Mam.  You know the one…making your child close to damaging their back just for the photo opportunity! ;)  Joke…he was fine after a quick rub down and a stiff drink.

And then it was back to Matty and Katy’s for more tea and, of course, Birthday cake!  An afternoon full of football, giggles, hide and seek and a lot of sugar…it wasn’t surprising that none of us were in a rush to leave.

Thanks for having us all!
