And just like that we’re into 2018. Christmas was over as fast as it came, really. I’m not sure if it was something to do with the Bois finishing school so late this year or not…but, it was here and then I was making our annual New Year’s Day Fry up?! That’s not to say it wasn’t a good one, though! It was full of the usual Sion Corn excitement…spine tingling singing at the Church Christmas Eve as well as the ever so cute carol singing by the kids…a new family member, Lemmy…some bickering…{come on! we all do it!}…devouring a box of Quality Street in one, maybe two, sittings…a walk or two…not many pics {fail!}…especially when I got a printer!…not much Christmas tv watched, much to our disappointment…”We’re getting married”, Billy, 3 to whoever I told him to tell…only the one hangover…Alfie becoming darts mad again…a shopping trip with Robb – {boi bach, he can shop!}…late mornings…late lunches…Paul getting all the prezzie hints…a night out with the girls…New Year’s Eve and all the laughs that came with it…Big Little Lies {WATCH. IT}…Beauty and The Beast on repeat…and new pyjama’s for daysssssss.
I read this on twitter the other day;
“Personally, I’m gonna give myself all month to get into the groove of 2018. Like, there’s eleven more months after this one, I think we can chill” Laura Jane Williams
I screenshotted {?!} it straight away and was like YEEESSSSS.
And this afternoon at work, whilst soaking up the water that the radiator decided it would spray all over the carpet in my office, I read this sentence from Desiderata;
“With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be Cheerful. Strive to be happy.”
{Now, THAT was a big F You to the radiator, if ever I saw one.}
But also how I will be heading in to the New Year…with ease and a strive for happiness.
Blwyddyn Newydd Dda to you all and thanks for still reading.
