Bonfire Night…
I can’t say Bonfire Night without singing, {either in my head or, if you’re lucky enough to be within earshot, out loud}…
Bonfire Night and the stars are bright
Three Little Angels dressed in white
One with a fiddle
One with a drum
One with a pancake stuck to her bum!
{It’s still going strong Gra! ;) }
As my Sister, myself and what sounded like 50 kids in the back of the car {there was 3 of them…THREE}…made our way to Corwen, we had a chat about Fireworks etc and I asked her whether she liked them and she replied “Meh…not really fussed to be honest…”. Barrel of laughs, that one! 😉
I’ve always liked them and can remember taking Robb to his first ever Fireworks display and seeing his little face light up as he watched them in awe…which was completely different to last night…I mean his face lit up, but only when he realised he was going to be home alone after telling me wasn’t coming with us. It’s started people, the whole “nah, not coming/can’t be bothered”… I might have had a little sulk about it the other evening…
Anyway, Bonfire Night {…and the stars are bright…😉 } last night was brilliant! There was hot food, drinks, live music, a raffle {always} and of course, Fireworks! Which were AMAZING! Low and I were just repeating “Woah!”…”Soo Good!”…”Oh my God, they’re ace!” to each other throughout.
The Icing on the cake?! It’s a toss between a friend’s daughter being super cute and cuddly…{even if I was just getting a cute finger squeeze} or the chilli and nachos Low and I shared.
Corwen, you did good. You did more than good! Bloody Brilliant! Diolch yn fawr iawn and Well Done to everyone involved in last night’s Fireworks Display.
PS, I think she’s a fan again now. 👊🏻
Fireworks and bonfires are so magical aren’t they?
Like rainbows or sunsets one is never too old to enjoy them.
