I’d gone on and on about the Afternoon Tea Paul and I had at The Berwyn Restaurant one afternoon, that my sister and the rest of the girls fancied trying it out. “Something nice for us all to do together”, “For all the birthday celebrations we’ve missed out on over Lockdown” etc. The date was booked and that was that.

Or so I thought.

The day arrived {Yes! CAKE!} and we made our way down to the restaurant.

“We’re a bit early…shall we go for a quick walk?” my sister said.

“Ooh yes! Let’s go down the lane, I got some blackberries here the other day, I could do with more!” I replied.

We turned the corner and I could see a gorgeous bell tent in the field. “What’s going on, you buggers?” I asked. Beth reckons I swore…me? Never!… ;)

“We’re not quite going to the Berwyn restaurant” was the reply “It’s coming to us…at the tent!”.

What a lovely surprise!

Not only was the outside decorated with gorgeous pink roses, the BABY boxes/balloons and cute mini fringed tassels, but the inside was decorated beautifully with big, soft and chunky cushions scattered everywhere, plush rugs laid out and a couple of tables for drinks etc.

There was also a “stick the dummy in the baby’s mouth” blindfold game {which I was very bad at!}, a baby shower sash and a blank baby grow ready for everyone to write a message on for baby girl. They really had thought of everything…and I didn’t have a clue!

We were treated to the most delicious sandwiches, chips and cake from the Berwyn Restaurant!

The Best Gang of Girls!…and one I can’t help to add to! I just know she is going to love all her aunties, cousins and Nain’s as much as I do. Unfortunately, Gwen was ill and couldn’t make it. But I managed to save her a cake or two…JUST! You were missed, Gwen!
